“2007 Religious Arts Festival”

In October and November of 2007, we presented a festival of religious arts at First Presbyterian Church.  Begun by Music Director, Tom Dooling, in 2005, this celebration of the arts illuminates a variety of artistic expressions including music, drama, and the visual arts.  Highlights of the 2007 festival included:

  • The Cornerstone Brass and Chorale in Concert and Worship - a professional touring ensemble
  • Paige Parnell – professional performer and former Miss Alabama and runner up to Miss America
  • The Face of Jesus – a film and discussion about visual images of Jesus from the 4th century BC until the present
  • Great Hymns of the Faith – A Festival of Congregational Hymns – a concert of congregational hymns performed and accompanied by organ, two brass quintets, Chancel Choir, LOGOS Youth and Children’s Choirs, and most importantly, the members of our congregation.
